  5. impresario; and Carroll Douglass, former mental patient at
  6. Bellevue Hospital; in New York City. Over Douglass's objections,
  7. Justice Carmen Ciparick invalidated the 2 1/2-year union on the
  8. ground that Bing, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, is
  9. "incapable of understanding the nature and consequences" of his
  10. actions. According to his lawyer, Bing forgets marrying
  11. Douglass, and has not been told of the annulment because it
  12. would confuse him.
